Q: What is your treatment approach and method?

A: That depends on the area in which you are looking for psychological assistance. We practice evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Group Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy.

Q: What is the process of seeing one of your psychologist?

A: You can make an appointment either by phone or by e-mail. The first appointment will include an initial consultation which will take between 60-80 minutes. Please allow yourself time to complete a standard information form and prepare any questions you need to ask regarding the psychologist who will be assigned to you. Upon completion of the form, you will also be given a client information handbook on everything you need to know regarding the psychologist, the practice, the opening hours, appointment time adherence, your rights as a client and more.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

A: Depending on the severity of the current diagnosis. The average patient will take between 4-8 sessions (50 minutes per session). There are incidences where treatment may take a longer time than expected due to reoccurring problems, external factors, event triggers and so forth. We usually try not to go beyond 8 sessions to avoid any dependence on therapy and the decision will be made on a case to case basis.

Q: What are the professional fee charges?

A: Professional fee for initial consultation will be charged at RM450. Subsequent consultation will average at RM350. For more information, please refer to our clinic fee schedule. Approval of lower fee will be based on a formulated calculation of your monthly household income and number of family members and will be the discretion of the associates in practice.
